
Nutrition Success Story
It is time to share yet another nutrition success story!
Before Kim hired me to oversee her nutrition and help her with her weight loss goals, she was seriously struggling. Her idea of a well-balanced meal was a cup of coffee and Cinnamon buns. Veggies rarely made the roster. Lean protein?? Never. Fruit? Don’t even think about it!
As a result of poor dietary choices, Kim’s health was starting to suffer. She got sick frequently, felt tired and lethargic, and her gym performance was lackluster.
Finally-she let me take the reins and help her with her eating habits.
Kim’s Results
The results were astounding!
We aimed to make reasonable lifestyle changes–step by step–rather than overhaul her entire diet overnight.
I believe this was a big ticket to her outstanding results, as we kept things manageable and focused on just one small habit per week.
Some of my first goals for her were to hit the recommended 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. In fact, we focused on this change before even paying attention to her daily calories or daily cinnamon bun habit.
Over the next few months, we would make more sustainable changes. In less than 6 months–she lost more than 40 lb, and she was able to completely transform her health and body composition.
But Kim’s results actually went far beyond weight loss. She was also able to lower her blood pressure, resting heart rate and blood glucose levels.
The best part was that Kim never had to resort to starvation diets, expensive products or supplements, or eliminate any entire food groups or carbohydrates. In fact, Kim ate more after working with me than beforehand. She even got to occasionally eat cinnamon buns and her favorite junk food in moderation.
Her nutrition program also fit well into her lifestyle, without too much extra work and effort.
