Personal Training Client

Today I want to share with you Mary’s transformation. Mary is a personal training client here at my studio in Chambersburg, PA.

Mary has been doing personal training with me since the end of December, 2017.

Since we started, Mary has totally overhauled her lifestyle. When we started together, it was not unusual for her to eat out several times per week, and she lived a sedentary lifestyle.

Mary’s Progress

When we started, Mary could not string together 10 mountain climbers, let alone even get down on the floor and support her entire body weight in a long arm plank position. We started out with squats to a high box, wall push ups and partial lunges. When we started, she could not walk for ten minutes or do a simple strength training workout without getting out of breath.

When we started, Mary also experienced frequent joint pain in her knees, hips and lower back.

With diligent training three times per week, nutrition coaching and a complete overhaul of her cardio and nutrition habits, Mary has made huge improvements to her health and fitness.

Weight Loss

So far, she has lost over 41 pounds, and she can now complete much tougher training sessions.

Last week she set a personal best on her deadlift of 145 pounds for 5 reps. Once a week she completes a tough cardio workout with me. She even completes cardio on her off days, which has enabled her to drop over 10 minutes off her 5 k time and to continue improving her conditioning and heart health.

Health Improvements

During our time together she has also improved her blood pressure and resting heart rate. Her resting pulse now sits as low as 47 beats per minute, putting her in the excellent category for fitness for her age group.

And finally, her pain is much less severe and less frequent than it once was. Even more importantly, her strength, muscular endurance and core strength have decreased her risk of future back injury and pain.

Final Thoughts

Mary’s story shows how committing to a structured exercise program with accountability and support can help you overhaul your health and fitness. Do you have any messages of encouragement for Mary? If so, please leave a comment below.
