Online Client Spotlight

Today’s post is an online client spotlight on Mary. Mary is a graduating high school senior who has made excellent progress in our time together.

Getting Started

While Mary played a few sports in middle school, she hasn’t ever worked with a more structured exercise program since. Mary started with around 10-12 weeks of in person coaching to get back on track with a formal exercise program. Starting off with personal training helped Mary gain familiarity with many exercises, improve adherence and set a routine. She worked out twice per week and tried to go for walks another couple times per week.

Online Training

When Mary felt confident with her abilities, she transitioned to work with me online. I continue to write her training program and update it based on her progress. Unlike virtual training, we do not connect via webcam to workout together. I simply provide her with a custom workout program, and she completes it independently. With online coaching, Mary trains according to her own schedule. I create three workouts for her every week, and she completes those sessions according to her schedule. She completes most of her sessions independently at a local gym, and now does a home training program.

Mary trains three times per week with online coaching. She does two resistance training sessions and one cardio conditioning session per week. I also encourage her to do 30 minutes of brisk walking on any other days she can fit it into her schedule. So far, Mary ha improved her strength and fitness with online training. Despite having to work out at home, she continues to improve her health and work towards her goals.
